Her sense of fashion is one that is very smart yet practical. She doesn’t wear anything with long sleeves usually as that could be a hindrance when she has her hands in a cadaver. Personality: Deni is a bright woman and boy does she know it and let you know it too. However she has herself the quirk of being quite highly superstitious. It’s one of her oddities that leave some to think she is a little mad. Mainly it is because she does not know when to stop talking about her work and seems to be oblivious to the fact that some may find it upsetting or disturbing. She seems to consider dead bodies as nothing more than items to study. But she is not disrespectful to the family members or even the bodies, she just finds it easier to distance herself from her work. She has a bit of a sense of humour and tries to be fairly outgoing and have a bright outlook on life, strange how she deals so much with death. She does sometimes hate the hours her work gives her because sometimes it means she doesn’t get home until late to her husband and son. Being a mother though, she’s very protective over her little boy but she’s never really lied to him. So as a child he is very bright and analytical like both parents. She also has an aptitude and love of board games and card games and jigsaw puzzles. She is very proud of him and her hubby. Special abilities/talents: Putting people off of food? She preferred to not hang around children her own age, rather she preferred to read and solve puzzles. Her parents were rather worried about her and tried to pressure her in to becoming more ‘normal’ by putting her in to after work school classes and dragged her around clubs and the like. She was forced in to the girl scouts but was kicked out for not participating. She hung around old book stores and loved to buy books with pictures in them. She discovered a copy of Grey’s Anatomy and started to research further in to it. She decided quite young that she wanted to go in to a medical career. So all through school she was the swot, the hard working know it all who never did anything wrong. She wasn’t at all popular but she gritted her teeth, kept her head down and got through school as quickly as humanly possible. She was very lucky and got in to university and medical school. She went to the College of California in San Francisco and began her studying. When she was three years in to her post graduate studies she met Roman Trentov in an old book store. She decided to approach him and they began dating. However he was Russian and only had a work permit visa. Six months in to their relationship, they were in love and so incredibly mad about each other that when his visa was due to expire she decided she couldn’t let him go. She proposed to him and had to struggle to convince him it would be a good idea. Because of this rather hasty marriage to an alien people became rather suspicious of the marriage so the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services were on their backs for quite a while. Another three years of studying and marriage and she ended up pregnant. She was forced to take a short period from her studies but was soon able to go back to her education because Roman became a happy house husband. Her work took her to Brown University and New York and there she came in to contact with the New York police department. She met a young Detective Wood whilst there and became rather close friends with him. It didn’t take too long of knowing him to realise that he knew things he shouldn’t about the victims she had helped find the cause of deaths for. She approached him one night and confronted him with her suspicions something was wrong. He confessed to her his abilities and a whole new world was opened up to her. The pathologist she was studying under knew of the supernatural himself and had known about Quinton’s gifts. He used his position to ‘cover’ for any suspicious deaths caused by super naturals for the police department and passed on his tricks to Deni. Three more years of studying and she finally became fully qualified forensic pathologist after the thirteen years required. Now able to move anywhere for work and a now well respected pathologist in her own right she chose to move to Florida with her family to work in Miami. However she heard from her old friend Detective Wood and he told her that Mysteria required someone with her particular ‘skills’. So she moved to Mysteria to help their police department to cover up certain ‘strange’ causes of death and explain them away as something more benign or regular instead of people asking questions about where all the blood went out of this victim with two puncture wounds in the neck. In this way the world that super naturals inhabit can stay in the shadows for a little longer. Flaws: She’s an over protective parent to her son. But it’s mainly when people try and tell her he’s done something wrong. He is perfect he never does anything wrong! Okay, she doesn’t know when to stop talk about work. Sometimes, strangely enough, people don’t like to be told they’re microscopic bacteria in their stomach will devour them after death. How long have we been playing this now?! Yes, she is competitive! Stop! For the love of god it’s after midnight stop! Is an eBay shopaholic freak. If she finds something she needs she HAS to outbid the git who tries to outbid by a penny, come on! Allergic to pet hair so no furry critters for her! Merits: Police Ties – because she does so much work for the police department she has pretty good ties with the law.
